The government and private enterprise


A Very interesting Read and a reality has been exposed here again..... Read on...

For a country that supposedly operates under a strictly private enterprise economic system, successive governments have been remarkably resistant to allowing full and proper participation by the private sector in areas where free competition could benefit the population, especially in these times of rapidly rising prices.

Now that we have got past the days of the telecommunications monopoly and by small steps, akin to pulling teeth, gradually eroding the power utility monopoly in principle if not yet in practice, attention should now be given to those areas where the government itself competes with or otherwise restricts the ability of local businesses to succeed.
