Breaking News..........

Murder enquiry update: Monday, October 13

The Police is now apparently taking some serious steps into the Murder Investigations of a dare beloved Estella Scott-Roberts, and wants to project some sort of Professionalism in their work of investigations, so maybe, lets see if that works.... Rolling Eyes

"The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) is continuing investigations into the apparent murder of Mrs Estella Scott-Roberts. A team of experienced detectives are working on the case led by Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Kennett who has over 20 years experience in investigating serious crime.

“We understand that this investigation is drawing a lot of interest and concern from the community,” said Mr Kennett.

At this time the investigation team is following a number of lines of enquiry, some of which are being debated within the community. On the third day of the investigation, Mr Kennett reaffirmed that some of the enquiries being carried out focus on work that Mrs Scott-Roberts carried out in the past. He emphasized however, that this is not the sole focus of the investigation and that there are other lines of enquiry being looked at. “We have to keep an open mind and explore all possibilities,” he said.

DNA may confirm burnt body

Tests may prove to be the body of the the lady in question and then we all will know just what a horrible thing to have been done in our Beautiful Cayman Islands ... No No

We do need security and well being established in Cayman Islands and because of of all the curruption and the rest of unfairness taking place then ,,, it leaves us to ask ourselves "Where are we going to in the Cayman Islands..?

Script from the press here Arrow Police have not yet been able to identify the body found Saturday afternoon in a burned-out Ford Edge in West Bay, but are assuming it is Cable & Wireless executive and women’s rights activist Estella Scott-Roberts.

The remains, which police say were burnt beyond recognition, were to be examined Monday by Miami-based forensic pathologist Dr Bruce Hyma, who arrived in George Town on Sunday evening.

“At this time, we have a vehicle that has been destroyed by fire. It was abandoned at the end of one of the Dykes, just east of Shorewinds Trail in The Shores, said Royal Cayman Islands Police Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) Peter Kennett at an impromptu Sunday afternoon news conference.

“Inside this vehicle we found the remains of a body. This body has been damaged in such a way that any possible identification may only be achieved through DNA analysis. I have to stress that this may take some time,” he said.

He said that Mrs Scott-Roberts, Corporate Communications Manager for Cable & Wireless and widely popular community figure, had disappeared Friday between 11:00pm and 11:30pm after leaving Deckers Restaurant on West Bay Road after celebrating her 34th birthday.

Police don’t know who killed Estella

Another Sad Story from RCIPS

Last Pic of Mrs Estella Scott-Roberts

In an open plea for more witnesses to come forward this afternoon, top–ranking members of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said they had not arrested the suspect or suspects who killed Cable and Wireless executive Estella Scott–Roberts.
“I don’t know who killed Estella,” Chief Inspector Peter Kennett said during a press briefing.

Police were able to fill in a few more details and dispel some of the rumours which have been circulating the island since the 33–year–old Cayman Brac native’s charred body was found in her burned out SUV Saturday morning.

Mr. Kennett said a preliminary autopsy of the remains indicated Mrs. Scott–Roberts had died before the fire started in her 2007 Ford Edge. He said it was the one small crumb of comfort he could offer to Mrs. Scott–Roberts’ mother Corrine and husband Rayle.
