| A new rule is laid down by Jack Stuart and here we go on the Kernohan Fiasco in more detail on the now charges being led on the Ex Commissioneer Stuart Kernohan by H.E. Jack Stuart. Governor Seeks Kernohan Sanctions The Governor will seek sanctions against Police Commissioner Stuart Kernohan for refusing to return to George Town, while asking the Auditor General to investigate the failed purchase of a $3 million police helicopter.
Political leaders have blasted Mr Kernohan, while Metropolitan Police have vowed their investigation into the commissioner’s conduct in office would continue “regardless of his location”.
In a three-page statement released Wednesday evening, 10 September, H.E the Governor Stuart Jack said he had three times, “throughout July and August”, asked Mr Kernohan to return to the Cayman islands.
“To date, the commissioner has not complied with any of my instructions, and with all three deadlines for his return now expired, he would currently appear to be in violation of the terms of his employment,” the Governor said.
“In light of this and after careful consideration of all the circumstances, I have decided today to initiate disciplinary action against Mr Kernohan, and will be taking further legal advice regarding his contractual obligations.”H.E the Governor Stuart Jack | |
