| Martin BridgerCNS): Condemning all those involved in the investigation for speaking through the media and the Chief Justice for releasing his ruling, Martin Bridger, the Senior Investigating Officer of the special investigation into alleged corruption in the police, has defended that investigation and declared that he will begin a series of public meetings to speak directly to the people. In a written statement to the media this evening, Thursday, 9 October, Bridger said he was disappointed by those who have spoken through the media about the investigation. “This could be prejudicial to the investigation and the individuals involved,” he said. Although the Chief Justice Anthony Smellie’s ruling made public last week sets out the details of Bridger’s investigation and states that he could see no evidence of any crimes, the former Scotland Yard officer still insisted that the investigation has merit. He said he was not prejudging the guilt or innocence of any individual involved and he had tried to be transparent. Get Full Story Here | |

| Bridger Reacts to Public Release Senior Investigating Officer Martin Bridger responded late on Thursday (9 October) to the recent release of court documents relating to a private hearing into the public domain and also to what he described as “the professional and individual judgments made by those who have recently spoken through the media, regarding the independent investigation.” Such judgments, he said, could be prejudicial to the investigation and the individuals involved. In a press statement, Mr Bridger acknowledged, however, that he was not always able to provide full details of the investigation that the media and the public at large would like to have. Nevertheless, he said, beginning with his media release last Thursday, unless events require a more immediate report, a media update will now be issued every two weeks. The community will also be updated in a series of local district meetings to be scheduled over the coming weeks and months. Full Story Here | |

| Bridger just probably just making excuses to coverup for Kernohan and Jones as usually what they do all the time...
I think also the the Governor, Mr. Stuart Jack needs to bring Kernohan back to Cayman Islands where he is being investigated. | |

|
In an attempt to allay concerns over how the highly publicised police corruption probe is being conducted, the lead investigator spoke directly to residents at last week’s West Bay Action Committee meeting.
Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) Martin Bridger said that he hoped the meeting would “dispel some of the rumour, some of the innuendo, some of the mischief-making that goes on through individuals, through the media or through other individuals who choose to comment about this investigation.
“I’m delighted that at long last I’m getting through to the community so you can hear from me direct, not through the eyes of the press [who are] delivering my messages as they see fit. I will deliver my message tonight as I see fit,” he said.
More Polishing on the Met Side....................

| These are the very discouraging words after hearing them from the Investigator who is the Police infact "“I will write to Mr Kernohan and invite him back to the Cayman Islands. If Mr Kernohan doesn’t come back to the Cayman Islands, if he doesn’t volunteer to be interviewed by me or members of my team, then I will seek to go interview Mr Kernohan in the United Kingdom. That’s what I will do,” Mr Bridger said. | |
