Top Cop to Oversee Bridger Team  The Governor has appointed James Smith, highly paid former Deputy Chief Constable of the UK’s Civil Nuclear Constabulary, new Acting Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) Commissioner, replacing two previous acting commissioners.
Mr Smith, who will begin his six-month appointment on Monday, 1 December, has 35 years experience in the UK, largely in Scotland, and was a commander with London’s Metropolitan Police, the same unit that seconded to the Cayman Islands in 2007 and 2008 former Acting Commissioner David George, Senior Investigating Officer Martin Bridger and his 12-member Special Police Investigation Team.Get The Facts Here | |
